Freuchie - Fife
The war memorial is a grey granite celtic cross on tapering pedestal with wheel-head and central boss. The face of the cross-head has celtic patterns carved in relief and the dedication and names of the WWII dead are listed on the face of the shaft. The names of the WWI dead are on a bronze tablet set into the face of the pedestal. The monument stands on the road junction in front of the hotel.

Hello,
My apologies to John and ADP, the heading was indeed wrong and I'm sorry I didn't notice this or John's posting before. |
