The Beeston Memorial Plaque is located in a covert position at the top of the Buachallie Etive Mhor in Glencoe. The Plaque is in memory of one of our own, Fusilier Russell Beeston, KIA 27 Aug 2003 on Op Telic 2. He was a Territorial Soldier who volunteered to deploy on Operations attached to 1 KOSB.
The Plaque was placed in its location because he used to play at the foot of the mountain when he was a boy, as his parents lived and worked in the Kingshouse Hotel.
Nemo me impune lacessit – No one attacks me with impunity – Or in Old Scots, Wha daur meddle wi’ me.
Many thanks to Captain Andrew Blari, 6th SCOTS for providing me with the above information.

Note, the badge at the top is the old 52nd Lowland Division badge. It used the scroll with 'Mountain' after training as a mountain division in Canada during the Second World War. I presume it was used post-war by 52nd Lowland Volunteers and continues in use by 6 Scots.
