Not identified on CWGC.

According to Wikipedia he died 28th of September 1942 as a result of the war.

Not included in the SRU list is former rugby internationalist John Henry Dods.
He and his family perished in an Naval accident. As he was not a member of the military he is not included in CWGC.

This is the only man in the SRU roll of honour i can find nothing about other than what his wiki page has. Not on CWGC/SNWM or a death on Scotlands-People.

Anyone able to help find what happened to him?

Took off 0407, LG 17 (Fuka Main), detailed for a low-level attack on a 2,000 ton ship in Bardia Harbour. After completing the attack V5560 was seen to continue inland at c10 metres?. Hit by flak, it crashed into a small house, killing the three crew and several German soldiers. The crew is buried in Halfaya Sollum War cemetery.

He played for Scotland against England and Wales in 1937.

He is shown on the Volume and on the Hillhead High School memorials as Pilot-Officer.
