Hello, Just to say thank you for this brilliant and informative site.
My name is Valerie Cairney and Lachlan Nicol was my Great Uncle on my mother's side.
I was wondering if anyone could please let me know the year and month that Lachlan enlisted in the 1st Battalion Seaforths - I know he enlisted in Elgin and that he is buried in Ramleh Cemetary in Palestine.
I will be visiting Israel in March and will hope to visit Lachlan's grave in Ramleh - I have managed to obtain his memorial reference for the Cemetary.
Thank you in advance.
