His D.C. describes him as a butcher and "formerly Private 1/6th Seaforth highlanders). He died aged 20 of general T.B. after suffering from it for 3 years.

Derek.

Anne

Have asked Derek to send me the DC to check further. I have found his pension record and it looks like a case can be made for him to MOD / CWGC.
Advise if you want me to forward if DC confirms.

( Update - DC confirms service related illness and that it is the same man )

Buried at New Elgin Cemetery.

1505, Pte William Culbard, 1st/6th Seaforth Highlanders T.F has been forwarded as a case, on Anne's behalf, to CWGC / MOD as a non comm post discharge death ( General tuberculosis ).

I have located his grave at Elgin, a headstone is in place.

Well done Anne in finding him.
