WAR MEMORIALS
ATHELSTANEFORD.— This memorial was unveiled and dedicated on Sunday last by Sir David Kinloch, Bart. of Gilmerton, after a service in the church, which was conducted by the Rev. T. O. Duncan. There was a large attendance. The memorial is built of light grey stone quarried at Rattlebags, Dirleton, and is of beautiful and chase design. It stands just inside the churchyard gate on rising ground, and has several over-arching trees as a picturesque background. The names of twenty-five men who made the supreme sacrifice are inscibed on a central panel.
