Location: On wall of Former Finzean Kirk, now parish church of Birse & Feughside.
Note: road to Finzean is off the B976, not beside it as John mentions below.
OS Ref: NO 605 925
Google Maps Street View
There is no parish of Finzean; Finzean is the "big hoose" and estate in Birse parish.
This WM must be on the B 976.
There is another WM on the wall of Birse parish ch at Drumhead grid ref 605 925 [Mod Edit Adam: This OS Ref is not for former Birse church but actually for this one

| At first glance, the names are not on both WMs. |

John
Quite a few of the names are duplicated.
There is / was a Parish of Finzean. Remember this memorial was erected following WW1 in connection with the local Parish then.
Finzean Parish kirk was built by the Laird of Finzean in 1863. Finzean Parish became a Quoad Sacra (sub) parish of Birse in 1903.
Finzean kirk is listed by UKNIWM as below. It clearly states Finzean on the plaque although part is cut off in your photo. It is for the Parish of Finzean.
The former Finzean Kirk is now the kirk of the present day Birse & Feughside Parish. Created in 2005 it includes the former parishes of Strachan, Birse and Finzean.

|
|
In 2005 the congregation decided to sell Birse Kirk and Strachan Kirk. Finzean Kirk, at the centre of the parish, was renovated and extended and became the present day Birse and Feughside.
Details from Aberdeen P & J, 17th April 2010.
As far as the war memorials are concerned they involve three parishes Birse, Strachan and Finzean.
The parish of Birse and Feughside has only existed since 2005. _________________ Jim
