If anyone is to do this it should be the UKNIWM.
The rest of the UK needs to play catch-up with us recording all memorials, not just the ones on the high street.

I wonder if the custodians of some outdoor or remote memorials might find publicity regarding location etc unhelpful in the light of the thefts we've all read about recently. |

That had crossed my mind but my view is they are better recorded as not.
Remote memorials should have their locations recorded so others can visit them. I don't thnk they should be hidden from public browsing because they may be targetted by theives.
It would be a sad state of affairs if we had to stop recording memorials because we were then making them more at risk.

I agree but without any form of compulsion it's hard to see how some custodians will comply. |
