Whilst voting at the recent council election - civic duty, you see - I noticed a memorial in the school. I have written to the school administration to ask permission to photograph the memorial. I will keep you updated of my progress.

I also suggested that the school consider, perhaps for a history project, having the pupils take a photograph and publish it on our site.

Well spotted. Unfortunately I think that WW1 is studied in secondary schools and only WW2 is studied at primary level. If (as I suspect) this is a WW1 memorial, the primary school may not be able to follow your suggestion.
