Adam,

Is there a Roll of Honour/List of names for Musselburgh anywhere?

I'm looking for William Anderson L/Cpl. Seaforth Highlanders KIA 06/04/1916.

He was a native of Blairgowrie but was a policeman in Musselburgh at the outbreak of the war.

regards,
Mark

Not that I am aware of I'm afraid. With him being a policeman the local paper might have something though.

Regards

Hi
I am not aware of a Roll of Honour for the WWI casualties from the Musselburgh area. However I found this entry on the CWGC site. It could be your relative as his parents were in the Kirriemuir area. No mention of Musselburgh though.

Name: Anderson, William M
Initials: W M
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Lance Corporal
Regiment/Service: Seaforth Highlanders
Unit text: 1st Bn
Age: 25
Date of death: 06/04/1916
Service Number: S/8708
Additional Information: Son of Mr and Mrs Willie Anderson of Craigieloch, Lintrathen, Kirriemuir, Forfarshire.
Casualty type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Ref: Panel 37 and 64
Memorial: Basra Memorial.

I am currently trying to put together a list of WWI and WWII soldiers who were killed in action and from the Musselburgh area. If I uncover any information I will contact you.

Shona
