Ruthven Parish Church is situated in a lovely position just north of the A926 about 2 miles west of Alyth just into the Angus area. It is no longer used for worship but holds the occasional community event.

Another tricky post as the memorial is the parish memorial but situated within the church itself.

This is just outside my area but one of those - just happened to be there at the right time. Again no ranks/regiments here. I know David H (Hunter) Galloway is on the memorial at Alyth and there was a small piece in the local paper about George Gray. But the rest?
I have previously posted that Robert Alexander is the first man listed on the Maxwelltown Memorial and enlisted at Blairgowrie. He may have worked as a farm hand at Ruthven for some time?

Not sure if this counts as a 'war memorial' but have included it for sake of interest.
