It maybe just me but .....

CWGC has William Connell, Pte 41104, 10th Cameronians, Died 19/8/1918 - but doesn't have the following:

SNWM has H Connell, Pte 41104, 10th Cameronians, Died 7/11/1918 - but doesn't have William.

The "H" could be a typo. but the dates of death???

Any thoughts?

Ken

I would put my money on CWGC.
He is William in Army records and SDGW. SGDW has 19th August.

Thanks Jim - Do the records or SDGW give birth/residence place?

If I've got the right man, he was born in Applegarth, Dumfries - in 1911 he lived in Hardgate, Urr, Kirkcudbrightshire but is listed on the Irongray WM Kirkcudbrightshire.

There is no place of birth or residence given, only enlisted at Dumfries. Formerly #1108 Lanarkshire Yeomanry.
