Lochgair - Argyll & Bute, Mid-Argyll District

The Lochgair memorial in Mid Argyll, Argyll & Bute. A 20 - 25 foot rustic grey granit cross set on a polished granit pedestal and cairn of local stone.
It stands on a path on the hill opposite the hotel.

The wwi inscription has become worn. The facing panel reads:
THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1919
THEY DIED FOR FREEDOM AND HONOUR

Vivian Charles Indian Army Lieutenant Colonel
15th Sikhs, Younger of Asknish

Elmslie George E. Indian Army Lieutenant Colonel
25th Cavalry

Campbell Angus A. Royal Scots 13th Royal Scots

I'd say it is a memorial within Kirkmichael Glassary Parish but not a memorial which covers the whole parish. It's not unusual for rural parishes to have more than one community and more than one memorial.

Is this father and two sons?
I'm still trying to work this out but I think Charles "took " the name Vivian when his wife inherited Asknish, or something like that.

It is father and son and adopted son I think. I think it was the father's father who took the name Vivian and he was always known as Vivian. I think MacIver-Campbell was family but I can't work out all the gealogy-speak from this webpage (which doesn't look like it scanned that well) but it will hopefully clear it up for someone who understands it:

Stirling N3658 Airborne from RAF Wyton (near Huntingdon). Shot down by a night-fighter and crashed at Overasselt (Gelderland), 8 km SSW of Nijmegen. All are buried in Uden War Cemetery.
