Hello,
I am making a study about the last days of WWI. 18 years ago I published a study about the fightings between Lys and Scheldt , October 1918. This study stopped on 8 November. So now I would like to finished it. There were only three days more to go. But everything went fast. I'm researching the front between Oudenaerde and the Tournai area, this was the frontline of the Second and Fifth Armies against the German Fourth and Sixt Armee. To avoid unpleasant surprises I check every Bn. . 148 British Bns were involved but my wantlist became short with the help of some friends of the GWF. I'm very greatful for that. So i'm looking for a few scans, only 8/9/10 and 11 november of following units;
8th Bn Seaforth Highlanders.
1/8th Bn and 14th Bn. Argyll & Sutherland Hgl.
2nd Bn. R. S. F.
10/11th Bn. , 12th Bn. and 18 Bn. HLI.
Some Bns were in reserve, in support or on duty.... so some Bns. won't have any comments other Bns will have more.
Kind regards and thanks,
Jef |
