The website seems fine here too. It is the link from an e-mail advising a new response which gives the error which clicked. _________________ Jim

I'll contact the support for the forum and see if this is a common problem. |

We've been having a few problems lately and after discussions with david i'm not sure that changes our hosts are making are having knock on effects and the fixes they are applying are causing more issues.
Hopefully it will be resolved soon. David is contacting them tonight to get some answers.
Thanks

I have emailed Bizhat support today about the problem with the forums going offline at various points over the last couple of days. Once I have a response I will let you all know.
I have also made enquiries about obtaining a backup of the data on the forums, and will discuss the options with the admin and mods once I have that information.
Discussions have been ongoing with the admin and moderators about the way forward for the projects, and this is something we are giving serious thought to.
The problems with the forum going offline are out of our hands, but we are looking into what ramifications this has for the long-term future of the projects. |

Having done some digging on the support forums, it seems that the technicians were replacing a faulty hard drive. After replacing the drive, they had to reinstall the software.
That explains the downtime over the last couple of days. |

The forum has been on and off for the last 3 weeks for me, and for large parts of a day every time it has gone down.
Then it has come back briefly several times, then down again.
Driving me quackers.
Today was clearly different, as previously it has been on a time out message when it went down. Today it was showing a not connected to the internet message.
Hopefully this is now fixed!!, for another 8 years! |
