Here are scans of a photocopy of the leaflet handed out at the unveiling. I was kindly sent this by the local branch of the RBL a few years ago.

Note that one of the psalms is a salm in Gaelic.

Col A.L MacMillan was present at most, if not all, of the Sutherland War Memorial unveilings in the early 1920s even if he didn't unveil them.
I think he was the commanding officer of the newly raised 4th /5th Bn The Seaforth Highlanders T.A. at the time.

THE PEOPLE'S JOURNAL: 02.12.1916
STANLEY SOLDIER DIES

Mr annd Mrs W.A. M'Kay, Percy Street, Stanley, have been notified that their third son, Signaller Eben Grant M'Kay, Black Watch, has died of dysentery at Salonika. Signaller M'Kay was a grandson of Mr Ebenezer Grant, Migdale, Bonar Bridge, Sutherlandshire, and, prior to the outbreak of the war, worked on his grandfather's farm. He was a promising lad of 18 years of age.
Mr and Mrs M'Kay have two other sons serving their King and country - one in the Seaforths and another in the Black Watch.

Also commemorated on the Stanley War Memorial, Perthshire;

NOTE
Just had a look at the Stanley link and Eben McKay listed under Camerons there.

Sorry Mark. Not at the moment although more detail should come out of this award:

This was one of the memorials which was awarded a renovation grant on 20th February through the Scottish Government's Centenary Memorials Restoration Fund:

Creich, Lairg Road, Bonar Bridge, Ardgay, Highlands (WM1626) Grant offer: £10,693
The railings surrounding the memorial are in ‘Poor’ condition due to flanking paint which is allowing water to corrode the ironwork.

The grant funding will help fund the restoration of the original ironwork railings. This will include the removal of the existing paint and corrosion and where necessary the replacement of sections of badly corroded ironwork.

In addition, access to the memorial will be improved as the gate will be widen ensuring everyone can get to the memorial to pay their tribute.

Details of memorial can be found at
