GLASGOW & DUNBARTONSHIRE

Glasgow, City of Glasgow, Boer War Memorial , Location - Western Necropolis , authority - Glasgow City We have this one too: http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=16

Glasgow, Pollokshaw Hall , Location - Pollokshaw Hall , authority - Glasgow City This one also: http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=2755

By my reckoning that makes Glasgow and Dunbartonshire complete.

If the above are updated and removed from the list it would leave the following;

Glasgow, Barrhead , Location - Cowan Park , authority - Glasgow City , UKNIWM Ref No. 44698
Glasgow, Gorbals, Community , Location - Gorbals Rose Garden , authority - Glasgow City
Glasgow, Pollok House , Location - Pollok Park , authority - Glasgow City
Glasgow, Yoker , Location - Park, Dumbarton Road , authority - Glasgow City

Do we have these, are they known by another name or don't exist ?

See John's post two before my previous post. He has provided links to all the other outstanding Glasgow memorials.

I have concluded that there never was a memorial for Carronbridge in Dumfries and Galloway. See http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?p=42058#42058 for details.

A missing Civic War Memorial in Dumfries and Galloway????? Shocked
I don't think so!!! Shocked On Spoons patch???? Shocked
I think the Carronbridge Memorial referred to is the one listed as Durisdeer. See http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=554 for the story.
I've asked Paul to confirm.
(He's beat me to it)

I think the confusion can be because the Durisdeer memorial is at Carronbridge Station - there is a separate memorial in Durisdeer Village miles away. Confusingly, Carronbridge Station is also miles away from Carronbridge! Confused?

Sorn memorial is actually in Sorn church and posted at http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=5523 I have asked for it to be moved to the civic section.

That makes Ayrshire complete.

No one has answered the question regarding Broomhill war memorial in Greenock.
I can't find it on the Forum.
It's a sizeable memorial with a good number of names on it.
if it is a community memorial, which I suspect, then has it not been picked up yet?

Dalnotter , Location - Cemetery , Authority - East Dunbartonshire
Kilmaronock, Location – Not known , Authority - West Dunbartonshire
Lenzie , Location - Public Hall , Authority - East Dunbartonshire
Milton, Location – Not known , Authority - West Dunbartonshire

Found and linked some of the aforesaid memorials in Dunbartonshire. Faifley, Kilpatrick & Lenzie left. I saw Lenzie in the 'to do' list. Can Faifley and Kilpatrick be scratched. Cheers
