Jake Drummond brought attention to the Wemyss sea mine explosion in the General section and that three civilians are not commemorated on the CWGC Dept of Honour Roll.
This can only be due to the Reporting Authority ( Fife County Council) not passing on the details to CWGC post 1945, even though they did report a Police Constable who died. However, this means we now have to prove the cases by official record, etc.
From what I have obtained so far I am confident this can be done and that they will, in time, be accepted by CWGC.
Will update when more info becomes available.
David Laing
Peter Graham
James Anderson
Jake, well done in finding them. _________________ Jim

The names of David Laing, Peter Graham and James Anderson were added to the CWGC WW2 Civilian Roll of Honour today.
IFCP used its relationship with CWGC to ensure that these cases were drawn to the attention of the appropriate department for consideration and CWGC acted with commendable sensitivity and promptness in deliberating upon them in view of the impending local memorial unveiling at the end of this month. That said, I did not expect CWGC staff to turn them around in one day. Thanks CWGC.
