When the United Free Church was united with the Church of Scotland in 1929, many church names were changed, mostly to avoid duplication of a name within an area. The list below is of the United Free Churches within the Presbytery of Edinburgh whose names were changed.

This may help to link memorial articles from the archives of the post-Great-War era with the churches we know now.

Many thanks ADP. The history or even lineage of Edinburgh churches is a bit of a web so anything to help untangle it is much appreciated. I wonder if an article like this is available for Glasgow churches?

Thanks

Adam
