St COLUMBA'S SCOTTISH EPISCOPAL CHURCH, PORTREE has in its church a Cross ( Crucifix ) given to the church by the DUKE OF ARGYLL in 1917/1918 to commemorate the "Brave Sons of Skye " who fought in the 1914-18 war .


Also has a drawing in the booklet "A History of St Columba's Church, Portree by Lucy Sanderson Taylor MA.


I can't recall seeing any mention in the church of this donation by the Duke of Argll
