And some more Gordons. Apart from one man in the 5th TA Bn the rest were in 1st and 2nd bns. Note two men died on the same day on 12th September 1944 when their ship was sunk.

All the 2nd Bn men were prisoners of the Japanese

Alexander Rettie died on 28 Jan 1915 at New Deer age 27. Primary cause of death was pulminary tuberculosis; secondary was laryngitus. His DC notes that he was a Naval Reservist on HM Ship Alstruin 89 (?); he was a ship's cook.

I have downloaded a copy of his DC from ScotlandsPeople.
