You can search by area, I think I should be able to do something in Ayrshire this weekend and in Dumfries and Galloway in 3 weeks time |

very strange, budget cuts? mind you some of the places listed in D&G or Ayrshire would be open anyway, doesn't cost anything to add places to a list for publicity I would have thought.
Good chance to find some 'hidden' memorials in adjacent areas?

Falkirk & Stirling's venues are a bit disappointing - I think Lecropt Church might be the only place of any interest regarding memorials.
However, in Clackmannanshire, Alva Old Churchyard will be open on Tuesday & Wednesday of next week- a chance to photograph the two CWGC stones at last!!
Hopefully the sun will still be shining!!
Anne
P.S. I noticed that West Lothian isn't taking part at all. |

What a shame at least two councils have withdrawn from Doors open Day. I hope it's not because of funding.
Edinburgh has released their list. I will try and find an online copy and post the URL.
Thanks

Thanks Paul. In previous years the Cockburn Association has released their own list as a pdf online. The Edinburgh Doors Open Day launch was in the local newspaper today so I assumed it would be the same this year.
I will have a good look through the online list now.
Cheers

Not a lot of new stuff in North and South Lanarkshire this year, and nothing new that might have memorials.
The church in Rutherglen apparently has a number of memorials: I migght try and make it there this year.
What I find disappointing is having places like museums on these lists - more so when they don't actually offer anything other than a normal day for them. It's Doors Open Day - the point is you see something you wouldn't normally get access to. |

You're right. I think a doors open day at a museum should be a guided tour of the archives, ie you get to see stuff not normally on display.
