Would it be Morreston, Elgin?

I suspect so.

Adam

I also thought it might be Morriston at Elgin.

I meant to advise he was born at Norriston, Elgin days before the Census. In 1901 it is shown as Norristown Cottage, Bruceland Road. I was in Elgin today and checked, it is not there of that name now. His father was a roads foreman so I imagine it was not a large dwelling and long since demolished.

That was a quick 5 months!
What an apt date for Paterson to be added to the CWGC.

L.Cpl. William Paterson has recently had a headstone erected over his previously unmarked grave in the Eastern Cemetery, Arbroath.
He was added to the CWGC register last Armistice day.

Derek

This headstone and one for a WW2 casualty named named Meekison were erected by CWGC last Thursday.
Your CWGC non comm is now concluded.
