This soldier is named on the memorial (his unit appears to be shown as 2nd RDF (Royal Dublin Fusiliers).

MORROW, Robert Private 22078 6th Bn Royal Dublin Fusiliers
Born: Strabane, Co Tyrone Enlisted: Coatsbridge, Lanarkshire.
Date of Death: 16/08/1915 Cause: Killed in action.
Previous No: Formerly 16402 Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.

The relatives of Private Robert Morrow, who reside at Camus, near Strabane, have been notified that he was killed in action at the Dardanelles on 16th August last. Private Morrow was attached to the famous Royal Dublin Fusiliers, having volunteered at the outbreak of the war, whilst working in Scotland. He leaves a wife and three children. The Derry Journal, 2 November 1915.

During my research I located this soldier from Coatbridge, I dont see him on the memorial but I am posting him here for ithe nformation of other forum members.

I am not certain if this soldier is listed on the memorial, but as he has Coatbridge connections, I enter his details for the information of other members.

Other notes: Private Stevenson’s Medal Index Card shows him as entering the Gallipoli Theatre of Operations on 30/4/1915. The Medal Index Card also shows him as “Pres Dead, 1/7/1915.”

Age: 36 Date of Death: 06/08/1915 Cause: Killed in action.
Previous Military Service: On an application for commission in the A.I.F. (23/9/14) he claimed “6 years service in the 2nd Lanarkshire Royal engineers Volunteers”.
Family Information: Son of Ann Stevenson (formerly McGarry), of 7, Dixon Row, Calder St., Coatbridge, Scotland, and the late George McGarry.
Religion: Church of England. Trade/profession: Engine-driver. Arrived Australia: Aged 33.
Other Notes: Private McGarry’s records show was promoted to the rank of Cpl on 23/9/14 and reverted again to Private on 1/1/15. He was taken on the strength of his battalion (from 3rd reinforcements) on 2/6/15. He was buried in Shell Green Cemetery by Chaplain Capt. T. V. Robertson.
