Ken
They announced this in September.
I expect it follows that the next batch (only to N available on Ancestry at present ) will not appear this year and I will not be getting a month's rebate.
Ancestry's announcement:
At this time of remembrance, we want to help everyone find out about the sacrifices made by their World War One ancestors. Thatīs why, for the entire month of November, we are waiving our usual charges for searching and viewing of our World War One Service and Pensions records and the World War One Medal Index Cards collection. _________________ Jim

I wonder when they will finally add all the medal index cards that they've been promising for the last 2 years?
Methinks they like to keep us hanging on - and paying our subs. _________________

I see from the GWF today that records have been added BUT the search function is "iffy" - now that makes a change !!!
and the "free" access seems to have gone !!! _________________ Ken |

I've just got a reply from ancestry about free access to military records
I am sorry. We do not have a promotion right now where we have provided free access to our Military records. We did have a free Military records access promotion that we did last year, but that offer expired November 30, 2008. _________________ Ken |
