Dunbar Artillery Memorial
Location: Gardens next to Bayswell Road
OS Ref: NT 675 791
A beautifully preserved 25 pdr at Dunbar. About 20 years ago there used to be four 25 pdrs further along the cliff in quite a poor condition . They were where the new swimming pool has been built which was on the site of the old cavalry barracks. You can see the barracks main building in the first photo. It is the red sandstone building on the left under the barrel of the 25 pdr.
I've included the photo of the information table to let you know there is one there. I'm sure I will be able to read the text on the original photo if anyone wants to know what it says.
