I have now added the details of the two Black Watch soldiers killed a few days ago and the Mark Wright centre opened recently in commemoration of Mark Wright G.C. from Edinburgh.

I've a feeling I've missed a Scot from this list for this year but I'm not sure. Can someone double check the list on the first page of this thread to make sure no-one who should be remembered here has been missed.

Regards

Adam

All those I know about including those reported in this thread are included in both the chronological and alphabetical lists.

Thanks, I'd seen the headlines but hadn't seen the names. I have now updated the list.

Corporal Moore was from Bellshill and they recently added names for Post-war deaths to the local war memorial so I'd imagine his name will be added too at some point.

Regards

A memorial to those who died on XV230 was unveilled at RAF Kinloss yesterday; at a ceremony following the presentation of the Elizabeth Cross to some of the relatives of those lost on 2 Sep 06. I'll post a photo when I can.

Willie Stevenson of Cowie has contacted me about a marine from Cowie who was killed in Afghanistan in 2009.

The name of Sergeant Lee Houltram of the Special Boat Service was added to Cowie's war memorial on Remembrance Day 2009. I have added Sergeant Houltram's details to the first post in this thread.

Thanks

This website gives details and photos of all casualties but there are errors and inconsitencies. Bdr Gilbert is shown as born in Topcliffe but elsewhere the BBC report he was born in Dumfries.
