I was perusing some of the Scotsman pages and found this article. It may not longer exist but I thought it may be of interest, particularly to Derek;
THE SCOTSMAN: 02.06.1924
HAWICK GOLF CLUB MEMORIAL
There was a large attendance at Hawick Golf Club on Saturday afternoon when a tablet to 17 members of the club who died in the war, presented by Mr R. Pringle, Wood Norton, was unveiled by Sr Thomas Henderson. He said that the tablet specially recognised these members as golfers and sportsmen, and testified to the fact that a love of healthy sport fostered and not hindered, but rather helped, that patriotism they displayed in the Great War. Mr William Burnet, captain, presided and the Rev. W. C. M'Cullough also took part in the proceedings. |

Mark,
It still exists.
This memorial is still on my "to-do" list.
I have photographed it at least twice before and I was a member of the golf club for years so passed the memorial daily during the golf season.
And yet I can't find a photograph of it in my collection! _________________
