Now that we have been running for nearly two years there is a little of bit of forum administration to be done.
For example there are some threads out there where we need photographs. We may not have photographs of the name panels or even of the memorial itself. We may need up to date photographs as well.
Other threads might not have a location, Ordnance Survey reference or a UKNIWM entry.
We will also start adding unveiling details so if they haven’t been posted we’ll list them here.
There will probably be other things needing some attention which I haven’t thought of but will be listed here too.
We will start making up a list here covering all this area’s memorials, civic, church, regimental etc. If we come across something that will need actioned the Mods. can add it to this list. If you see something that needs updated please post in this thread and we can update the list. |

The following to complete Fife Civic/Parish (as far as I am aware)
1.*Abdie & Dunbog (Grange of Lindores) - within the church
2.*Cameron (South of St. Andrews on A915) - within the church ?
3.* Flisk
4.Crossgates War Memorial Institute (44474)
5.Kingseat - (Kingseat) within the church (46445)
6.*Torryburn (Torryburn) - within the church ?
*Civil Parishes. (Those in red definately have memorials). |

Have updated & linked Creich & Logie, and these have been removed from the list above.
I see one has been posted for Flisk situated outside the old school. It is in the schools section but reads "and men of Flisk". I think that may also cover the parish and should be linked to civic section - any thoughts ?
There may be other public memorials in Fife but according to the list that is 5 (taking Flisk into account) remaining for the Kingdom. |

I'm not sure about Flisk. The wording doesn't make it clear but if there is no other memorial in the community I think this will be the civic one.
We'll leave it in the school section just now until we can find out more.
Thanks

Does anyone know of the names listed on the Torryburn memorial? or how to get a look at it? |

I think this may be the Institute at Crossgates. Now Crossgates Community Centre
4.Crossgates War Memorial Institute (44474)
From The Central Fife Times of Wednesday, 12th November, 2008
http://www.centralfifetimes.com/news/cowdenbeath/articles/2008/11/12/30627-communities-remember-war-dead/
In Crossgates a service was held at the village church at 9.45am. There were three acts of remembrance the first being at the Mossgreen cemetery memorial; then Crossgates Community Centre and finally at Hill of Beath Ex-Servicemen's Club.
Thanks

I think you are right. The names on the Flisk school memorial do not appear on any other local memorials so I think it is school and civic
Thanks

Had another look at Flisk Parish History - very little information about the history of the church although a few references to the Parish School. I think that may have been the focal point and its inscription tends to suggest both school & parish memorial. Have added, linked and amended list. |

Just looked again at Torryburn - there is still a parish church. We also have one listed by UKNIWM in the Primary School building there. It has no inscription noted but lists 28 names, which is a lot. It will be interesting to see the memorial(s) here. Fife has been a continual surprise for public memorials but, as far as can be ascertained, now only 4 to get. |

Mrs Aase Goldsmith advises that she had a good look round the church, both inside and outside, and there are NO war memorials.
So this can be removed from to do list. |
