The Greatest General Scotland ever produced.
Memorial is up in the hills above Old Blair. From Blair Atholl take the road to Old Blair and head up the road until it comes to an end. Memorial is on the left.

Malcolm
Thanks for our first Civil War memorial on the site.
I read that they are planning to build houses on the site of his last battle at Carbisdale. I've never had the chance to visit the battle site but I believe it is marked.
Do you know if the society has put up any more plaques to Montrose around Scotland? He certainly deserves more recognition.

Malcolm,
Thanks for bringing this memorial to our attention.
Montrose was one of my boyhood heroes and deserves wider recognition.
