A number of schools have memorials and a significant proportion of these (in Dumfries and Galloway at least) are not listed on UKNIWM. Therefore it makes sense to list all current schools as potential locations and 'check them off' as the memorials are 'collected' or proven not to exist. Note that this is intended as a list of current possible school locations and not a list of memorials.

Memorials from former schools may have moved to churches, museums, new schools or outside locations or even have been lost.

Collected = memorials identified and photos taken
Part Collected = some photographed but at least one still to collect
None = confirmed that there are no memorials inside the church
blank = yet to be checked

The current totals are believed to be:
Secondary Schools 16
Primary Schools 108 excluding 2 listed above which are combined secondary/primary

This list is only partially complete and will be added to as I identify the correct name of the schools and updated when I confirm the existance or otherwise of any memorials.

I was talking to a retired teacher who quite clearly remembers there being a roll of honour or memorial plaque in the staff room of Lochans Primary School near Stranraer. The school closed a few years ago and I don't know if it was sold. I don't know if anyone preserved the plaque.
