Listed on Arbroath War Memorial and in the Roll of Honour. SNWM gives place of birth as Duffus, Elgin, Morayshire.

Probably a relation to the other Cormie's listed?

It's not obvious here but the photos on the UKIWM (8702) show that a name has been added to the second WW2 panel.
The original had L/CPL. G. WISEMAN, A&SH as the final entry (as does Roxy's transcription) but the later photo has PTE. G.W. RALPH, A&SH added.

The curious thing is that I think that they are one and the same man.

A family history on Ancestry gives his dob as 1919 in Burghead as George Wiseman Ralph and his parents as Francis George Wiseman and Christina Ralph.
There is no record of a marriage but Christina Ralph married James Biddall in 1924 and she died in 1940.

George is named on the Jedburgh War Memorial in Roxburghshire as:

RALPH, GEORGE W. PTE. A. & S. H.
George Wiseman Ralph – age 23 – Private (2986221) 8th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.
The 8th Battalion had landed in Algeria in November 1942 as part of Operation Torch and later in the month moved into Tunisia.
Born 1919 in Burghead, Morayshire. Son of the late Christina Ralph and of Francis George Wiseman. Husband of Joan or Joy Scott (Laidlaw) Ralph, of 15 Queen Street, Jedburgh who he married in January 1942 in Jedburgh.
George and Joy's daughter Margaret was born in January 1943 in Jedburgh.
Missing in Action on 28 November 1942 and named on the Medjez-El-Bab Memorial, Tunisia.
