Alexr. Seel's name appears on the WW1 memorial plaque in Greenbank Parish Church, Clarkston.
However his name does not appear on CWGC or SNWM.
I found his death certificate on Scotlands people his details are listed against item 141.
ADMIN EDIT: Please do not reproduce images from Scotlands People. They are crown copyright and should not be reproduced.
Below his name is written (I think)
Joiner
Apprentice
Army Pensioned
Single
Cause of Death(cannot decipher third line)
Septicaemia
5 days
- - - - - - - - -
Tuberculosis
Spine
The hospital was built during the Great War, and served the needs of the war wounded in Glasgow and the West of Scotland.
Is it possible Alexander was invalided out of the services because of ill health and remained hospitalised until his death?
Or is there some other explanation?

John
The reason that you cannot find Alex Seel on CWGC is that he died outside the qualifying period which ended on 31st August 1921. Even if he had died before that date there would have to be a direct link between the cause of his discharge ( if that was the case ) and the cause of his death. The cause here could easily have been contracted post discharge.
It is unlikely he was hospitilised long term as his residence is given on the DC _________________ Jim
