On the assumption that all those named were casualties there are two names on the 1939-1945 panel that I cannot find any details on CWGC or SNWM can anybody offer any details please?

1 - FOY, Ella, WRNS

2 - LINDSAY, Elizabeth D. ATS - I even tried LINDSEY

Grateful for any assistance

Tony

Nothing comes up using Geoff's Search Engine either.

Thanks

Thanks for trying. I did look at ScotlandsPeople, some possibilities assuming that they died in Scotland, but the potential bill put me off.

Cheers

Tony

It could well be that they are on the memorial but neither was a " war casualty ". This was not particularly unusual for WW2 if they had served at some time.
I am currently assisting a family who has a relative on another memorial. She also served in the RAF and was discharged due to illness. She died of an unrelated cause in 1948 and is missing from CWGC and SNWM.

Though not impossible, it is unlikely they have been missed from CWGC if they qualified as a service or civilian war casualty.

Thanks for your comment and I agree the possibility, like your case, that my two ladies died after being discharged.

Regards

Tony
