Although not on this Roll of Honour, his brother Andrew, who was a Serjeant in 15th Bn Royal Scots, was also KIA, aged 21 on 09/04/1917. His service No was 270015. He is buried at IV.C.5 Roclincourt Valley Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France. He was born in Inveresk, Musselburgh.
