I don't think we have had a thread on this subject before but I thought that it might be interesting to post details of families who lost four or more family members (not necessarily brothers).

Interesting why specific family CWGC entries carry a different amount of personal information - I would have thought that each family would have listed as much information as possible.

Also note some minor inaccuracies on the CWGC entries caused by scanning errors in modern times.

Derek

The Is instead of 15 error in George Douglas's record should be resolved in due course.

The details given for T Douglas and JH Douglas contain only the information supplied by the Army. For some reason the NOK have not returned the Verification Forms.

I looked at the case of Richard Clayton and see no prospect at all of him being accepted as a non comm. He clearly did not have the cause of his death (T.B.) when discharged.

Peter Davidson has no next of kin (or first name) given but I have been able to verify that it is the same man from the Gatehouse of Fleet memorial, family gravestone and Stewartry Roll of Honour.

I know that it's less than four but Kirkton (D&G) WW2 memorial has what appears to be three brothers
http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=1565

It's that they are WW2 casualties that struck me. Unusual?
