A note was left at the Carsphairn memorial today along with the wreaths.
In memory of Ian Hunter born 11 10 1972 died 2003 aged 32
fighting for our country in Iraq
He is not on our list, the Armed Forces Memorial or the Palace Barracks memorial unless he served under a different surname. Anyone any idea?
There was a little more on the note but it is personal so excuse me for not publishing it here. There is a fair chance I can track down the person who left it if need be.

Could he be an American? _________________ Jim

Or a civilian e.g. aid worker?
I think I might have tracked down the family who left the note. I have asked a third party to make a tactful enquiry and will report back.
