Carradale - Argyll & Bute, Kintyre District

The Carradale war memorial is a grey granite memorial with carved wreath and memorial tablet which is incorporated into a well. The photograph was taken quite a few years ago, the well was dry and the site was littered with rubbish and drinks cans. Hopefully its been cleaned up since then.
The memorial was erected by Glasgow monumental sculptors Messrs. Scott Rae, the daybook entry reads:
'Order No. 5396, carradale, Grey fountain, Erected September 1920, Daybook 192'.

Some new photographs taken this summer which shows the local authorities have given the memorial a facelift and its looking well.

Below - I take it a cup was secured to this ring but it must be long gone.

The casualties from the memorial that have been identified all appear to be in order they died, so anyone looking for the reminder can use the approximate dates between them to narrow down the possibilities.
