Prince Charles Duke of Rothesay is atttending the re dedication of the Black Watch WW2 memorial at Powrie Brae on Sunday 18th October 2009 . The Memorial was unveiled by the late Queen Mother in 1959 . The sculptor of the Memorial was Mr Sutherland . The Black Watch Association has raised the money to refurbish the Memorial .
I recall that Brigadier James A Oliver ( Arbroath) and Col Chick Thomson ( Dundee) were the original Black Watch Officers who instigated the Memorial originally . Sadly both are now deceased .
Today's Courier & Advertiser covers the event on Sunday , 18th October 2009 at Powrie Brae .

Using Google's Street View you can see you get to the memorial from Emmock Road but I don't see any nearby parking.
