Hi
I have taken pictures on the Civil War Memorial at Shieldaig Grid ref NG818526.
Memorial is on a rock and its hard to get a close up of it, therefore close up views are from the side.

Hi
No idea where the verse or words come from and must admit to finding it a rather odd one. Most of the population when the Memorial was built could have been Galic speakers so whether that has any connection?
Never seen the link you have put on before, looks a good site.

The armies of the aliens made me think it might be scripture and there's mention of same in Hebrews but no mention of waxing valiantly in flight.
I've a few Gaelic speaking chums. I'll run it past them. |

Oops, we've slipped up here. It was only when I saw the 'Lusitania' reference I realised I'd seen this memorial before:

Can all new posts be made on the original thread please.
