Location: St. Andrews Blackadder Church, St. Andrews Street, North Berwick.



The church has undergone substantial renovation in recent years, so this memorial can now be found in one of the "side rooms". One is used as a quiet Chapel, and the other is a more general meeting room. These photos were taken some time ago so I can't remember which this was in.

    Captain Francis Grant-Suttie was born on 18 January 1832. He was the son of Sir George Grant-Suttie, 5th Bt. and Harriet Charteris. He married Elizabeth MacIntyre, daughter of Donald MacIntyre, on 15 January 1877 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He died on 28 February 1884 at age 52.
    Captain Francis Grant-Suttie gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.

This is a copy of my entry in the "Scottish War graves project" site. This is a picture of the family grave stone in the Old cemetery in North Berwick.
