Name: TAYLOR, DUNCAN
Initials: G D
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Private
Regiment/Service: Black Watch (Royal Highlanders)
Unit Text: 6th Bn.
Age: 21
Date of Death: 13/11/1916
Service No: 3389
Additional information: Son of Mary Taylor, of Victoria Buildings, Callander, Perthshire, and the late Duncan Taylor.
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: I. L. 23.
Cemetery: MAILLY WOOD CEMETERY, MAILLY-MAILLET
Mailly Wood Cemetery was used for burials following the 51st HD capturing the village of Beaumont Hamel on 13th November. If he died in a medical facility it will have been an ADS, CCS, etc rather than a hospital. _________________ Jim

Now that is bizarre. Put in D. Taylor - doesn't show. Put in G Taylor and he appears Duncan Taylor.
Thank you. |
