Edzell - Angus District, Brechin Landward
UKNIWM Ref no. 5677
The Edzell war memorial is a grey granite obelisk with a wreath carved in relief on the face of the pedestal. The commemoration and names of the dead are set in lead lettering on the faces of the pedestal.
There is an unusual proportion of Canadians listed on the monument.

This man listed on the Second World War panel of the memorial was part of the ill-fated commando raid on the Norsk Hydro heavy water factory at Rjukan in Norway. He is also commemorated on the Operation Freshman Memorial at Skitten in Caithness.
