Now that we have been running for nearly two years there is a little of bit of forum administration to be done.

For example there are some threads out there where we need photographs. We may not have photographs of the name panels or even of the memorial itself. We may need up to date photographs as well.

Other threads might not have a location, Ordnance Survey reference or a UKNIWM entry.

We will also start adding unveiling details so if they haven’t been posted we’ll list them here.

There will probably be other things needing some attention which I haven’t thought of but will be listed here too.

We will start making up a list here covering all this area’s memorials, civic, church, regimental etc. If we come across something that will need actioned the Mods. can add it to this list. If you see something that needs updated please post in this thread and we can update the list.

I think that is Annes own photo, so scratch that off the "to do" list. We still need photos of the name panels, though.

The location (in 1921) of the Glenbervie War Memorial which I can't find on the forum.

From ‘The Scotsman’ - Monday, 5th December 1921, page 5

Glenbervie

Glenbervie war memorial to the memory of 36 men of the parish, was unveiled on Saturday afternoon by Major-General Sir Ronald Macdonald, K.C.I.E., in presence of a large number of people. The monument, which is of freestone, is a handsome Maltese cross on two circular bases, and is erected in the grounds of Glenbervie Parish Church

A church memorial which is hopefully still in the parish church

‘The Scotsman’ - 2nd April 1921

Clatt Church (Aberdeenshire)
The pre-Reformation stone font has been replaced in the church by the Woman's Guild, which also made a gift of a copper baptismal vessel as a memorial of the members of the church who fell in the war. Rev. Andrew Gray, B.D. dedicated it, and Mrs Fellowes Gordon, Knockespock , unveiled it

It is still there. The copper vessel described is a circular dish which sits in the stone font, it has not replaced it.
The following is engraved round the outer edge.

GIFTED TO THE KIRK OF CLATT BY THE WOMEN'S GUILD.
To the Glory of God and in grateful memory of those who died for Liberty and Righteousness in the Great War 1914-1919.
- W.B. ANDERSON - JAMES DICK - W. HOME - F. MARR - GEO. RITCHIE - D. TAYLOR- A. WRIGHT -

Clatt War Memorial commemorates these men and two others.
