He is also commemorated inside the tunnels that run through the rock.

These are borderline - if you can't see a connection to Scotland then please do not include them.

Sorry to be so picky but this is a site for memorials in and connected to Scotland - these are outwith the scope of this project.

The Engineers and Artillery ones might possibly be allowed, but only just.

I have to agree with David on this one however I was also really delighted to see all the photographs, especially the Sikorski ones. I'd be sorry to miss out on the opportunity to see more since I'm sure many of us enjoy seeing such photographs.

GW

Don't worry about it, we can get this sorted out no probem. I'd say we can keep the memorials which cover RE and RA units since they would have contained Scots. For the Sikorski plaques I think you should add them to this thread about a Sikorski memorial in Fife:

http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=3256

I have already added a photograph from Newark relating to Sikorski's original burial place so it would be good to get the plaques from Gibraltar.

For the others such as the Gibraltar Regiment statue and US Navy plaque we can't have them on this forum but it would be a real shame to not be able to share them on the internet so I have added a new section to the Scottish Monuments forum here:

http://scottishmonuments.s2.bizhat.com/viewforum.php?f=30

It's really off-topic there too but I'm happy to include them because personally I am very interested in seeing them (and I'm not as strict on the SMMAS about what is off-topic!).

Regards

Adam
