Name: CHAPMAN, EDWARD WYNNE
Initials: E W
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Lieutenant
Regiment/Service: 3rd Dragoon Guards (Prince of Wales' Own)
Age: 27
Date of Death: 17/11/1914
Additional information: Son of Mary Harriet Barbara Dampier-Crossley (formerly Chapman) and the late Edward Chapman, of Springbank, New Zealand; husband of Elvira Maude Chapman, of 19, Norfolk St., Park Lane, London.
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: E1. 1.
Cemetery: YPRES TOWN CEMETERY

This casualty is on the War Memorial(s) for Persie & Glenshee. I think he must have been a regular visitor or shooting tennant.
Despite looking through several local papers there is no mention of him. Does anyone know which English paper he night feature in. I thought he would be mentioned by virtue of rank and that he is an early casualty.
