There are a few memorials in this church. Robert Burns is buried in the churchyard. The church is open during daylight hours in the tourist season (Apr to Oct I think).
Well signposted from Dumfries centre, look for signs to Burns Mausoleum.
OS Map Ref: NX 975 756
The WW1 and WW2 memorials are listed together as:
UKNIWM Ref: 44306
However, try as I may I could not get a photograph in focus of the whole memorial so I have photographed it in two parts, also with close-ups to show the names. Compare the curve of this memorial to the Sanquhar memorial, that may give a clue to where the Sanquhar plates came from. Trying to photograph curved polished brass is just about THE most difficult.
Also posted here is a Roll of Honour for St Michaels - this memorial is unlisted on UKNIWM. The Roll of Honour is quite readable in the high res original photos, let me know if you want them.
