Thanks David
Would he have been attached to another unit?
The only CWGC ref I can find for a Cpl. Samuel Thomson shows:
31 Base Supply Depot RASC.

Since posting the above I have found a Corp. Thomas Thomson of the 52nd Reg Rec Corps RAC Died 19/2/1945 (age 25 - so DoB 1919ish) but also a birth record for Samuel Thomson 1919 at Dalbeattie.
I'm still trying to work out if it's the same guy!

Paul

Thanks for another two entries. I can't believe we haven't included REME before now!

I have now updated the list.

Regards

Adam

One more

P.M.R.A.F.N.S Princess Mary's Royal Air Force Nursing Service

any idea what F.A.N.S. stands for?

Nearest I can get is FANY so could it be a misprint and be First Aid Nursing Service (which didn't exist)? On New Galloway WW2 (Margaret Robb).

Paul

I think it is actually T-A-N-S on New Galloway WW2. The Territorial Army Nursing Service.

Cheers

Adam
