I am searching for information on the servicemen of both world wars commemorated by the Killiecrankie war memorial. The memorial is unusual in that it is a building (Killiecrankie Memorial Hall). As far as I can recollect, the Memorial Hall was erected around 1952 with money raised to build a cenotaph. The original Memorial Hall was demolished in the 1980s and a similar building with an almost identical footprint built in its place. This is still in use as the community hall to this day.
I do not know of the existence of any roll of honour in the form of written records or memorials relating to the war dead or the Memorial Hall in general and would be most interested in knowing the likely whereabouts of these, if indeed any exist. I am also disappointed that the Killiecrankie Memorial Hall does not appear to be listed on any inventory of Scottish War Memorials and would be most grateful if you could give me any guidance on how we can record its existence for perpetuity, before the knowledge disappears from memory for ever.

| Perhaps a Roll of Honour, for the Great War at least, could be replicated and hung in the Memorial Hall. I know not of any WW2 casualties at this time - although they may have been included in the Parish of Moulin - sorry ! (Pitlochry) Memorial. |

LANCE-CORPL. JAMES CAMPBELL, BLACK WATCH - Moulin.
PTE. GEORGE HOGG, BLACK WATCH - Blair Atholl, Kinclaven & City of Perth (Golden Book).
PTE. ALEX. JAMIESON, BLACK WATCH - Moulin.
CORPORAL HENRY M’INTOSH, SCOTTISH HORSE - Moulin.
PTE. JOHN MACKAY, CANADIAN RIFLES - Blair Atholl.
PTE. WM. M’KENZIE, ROYAL ENGINEERS - Blair Atholl (Black Watch ?).
SGT. W. ROBERTSON, BLACK WATCH - Blair Atholl.
PTE. ALEX. RENWICK, GORDON HIGHLANDERS - Blair Atholl.
PTE. DONALD TURNBULL, BLACK WATCH - Dunkeld & Little Dunkeld. |

I see a Mr T. M’Glashan, M.A is metioned in the unveiling article in the 1921 Perthshire Advertiser and the e-mail came from a Stewart MacGlashan. Any relation I wonder?
