IN LOVING MEMORY/ OF/ JAMES DONALD DAVIDSON,/ PRIVATE 4TH BATTN. CAMERON HIGHLANDERS, (T)/ THE ONLY SON OF HIS PARENTS/ DONALD & EMILY DAVIDSON./ HE ANSWERED HIS COUNTRY'S CALL/ AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GREAT WAR/ AND FELL IN ACTION AT FESTUBERT, FRANCE, ON THE 18TH MAY 1915,/ IN THE 26TH YEAR OF HIS AGE./ HE WAS BAPTIZED AND CONFIRMED IN THIS CHURCH/ AND USED TO WORSHIP NEAR THIS SPOT./ "WHOSOEVER LOSE HIS LIFE FOR MY SAKE/ SHALL FIND IT."
